Thats because there is none. Any load that I take will have to pay enough for me to deadhead back up into Ga if needed.

My answer to the $1.00/m freight is:
    1) the O/O, small trucking
(especially the one's who never managed a successful business or never owned their own successful business)
company will accept this to reposition their truck for fuel money.

    2) The big trucking company will accept this to reposition their truck rather than it sit there "costing them money".

Until this changes, $1.00/m freight will always exist.

This country need's to do what happened in Paris years ago, all the truckers (hundreds of them) "parked" their trucks first thing in the morning at every ON/OFF ramp blocking all traffic in/out of the city....and collectively bargained for an increase of wages...they got it that day....talk about solidarity.

I know of a guy who is leased to Landstar and lives in Jacksonville. He gets flatbed loads all the time for $3.50-$4.50 a mile to south florida and he just deadheads back to Jacksonville. This way he averages about $1.75-$2 for ALL miles driven and is very happy. I've been thinking about relocating as well ;)

    Make that 3 for move...

You better secure a place to park on your truck because your going to have some PIA snowbird crying about how your truck trashes the the neighborhood... sad part is that he will live 8 blocks away and have nothing better to do then make your life miserable.

Secondly, Greatwide is also Dalis Mavis = very bad CSA score
