    Guys please shed some light on going US illionois/California from Calgary and coming back what happens if there is a recession in US will I survive? I would like to net 100 k after taxes fuel and everything else and is it smart to get into brand new truck or get cascadia with 600 ks

    Depends who you work for, and if they rely on contract freight or spot market. Also reefer or van makes a big difference. Medium/Bigger companies are my suggestion, and I would go new (I just did) breakdowns and general repairs on a beat up truck are way to expensive. For what I pay for my new Volvo per month (financed) guys are spending 1.5x to keep some of these used trucks going. I would look into reefer and dry van LTL. Full truckload van and flat deck is pretty hurting right now.
