Saw this truck in Savannah GA riding around yesterday...Times must be hard when you have to ride illegal. I'm guessing with no trailer behind his rig, it probably isn't helping his income

Typical container hauler. Whats the problem? See them all the time.
-
The tires on the rear of this thing were bald and coming apart.
-
You haven't seen nothing yet, it's a green light down on the border. All them old wore out cabover JB Hunt trucks that was shipped down there years ago will be coming back.
God help us, were going to need it!Jarhed1964 and SL3406 Thank this. -
guess you haven't spent much time at the LA/Long Beach port or along I-5 in San Joquin Valley. Tires there that are so bad you can't get paid for the casing will get sold for $50.
-
lucky him. I run containers into rail yards and out of depot's. after 10 plugs they don't even hold air so I usually don't get to bald. I've went with the "used recap" option or the cheapest I can find.
-
Them NEW tires to a container hauler I've seen them a lot worse than that
-
At least he had two mudflaps on.
-
I bet he got out his regrooving machine when he got home and those tires look good as new and knee deep in tread the next day.
-
I guess all that chinese freight in them containers doesn't pay well enough to afford a set of tires once every 5 years.
