I got hired on yesterday. I have finished up all the online courses today. Now I am just waiting for some freight so I can get moving. But it is Friday afternoon and everybody knows how that can be sometimes trying to get a load. Everything that Flatbedn and amtrack spoke about is true. I came over after driving for 2 years at Roehl. I started out driving there and I noticed a difference in the atmosphere the first day. It is relaxed here but they don't put up with any bs either. You get a ticket for no seat belt or following too close it is pretty much guaranteed you will be shown the door. Everybody from the office and shop I have interacted with here in Memphis have been nice and helpful. Only time will tell if I made the right decision.

Does Ozark run anything west from Memphis? Thanks
-
Yes we got to Dallas a good bit. Just no Cali,nm or Arizona. Primarily east cost and select Midwest.
-
Just put my application in with them. Thanks for the info.

Got called by the recruiter this morning. Said she has been trying to get a hold of me for some time. This I found interesting. Starting mileage I'm concerned about but will give it some thought. I saw on another thread that a driver with a supposed trucking history of 24 years had made some comments about Ozark. I read some bad reviews from 06 and 07, but never found anything recent that would speak bad for Ozark. Running hard is what it's about. Good dependable employment and regular good checks helps to. You only get back what you are willing to put into something. Attitude is important and so is respect. I was pleased to see those responses back from you. I usually check company's out quite thoroughly before I even think of jumping in. You have given me some very good answers to questions I had about Ozark. I just have to do more thinking. Thanks

The guy with supposedly 24 years claimed in his post 4 years and said they didn't hire him because his pay would be maxed out. Which is bogus because they hire 20 and 30 year drivers all the time.
-
Any idea what the hiring area is and were you do you run most of the time?
-
-
And we run those same areas. A lot of east and north east though.

Just go a call from Cissy in recruiting. It looks like I am coming to Memphis the 9th of September for orientation and check ride. Anyone know what the check ride consists of and is there a physical endurance test. Also, will they give a new DOT physical. I just had mine renewed. Thanks
