I currently have what I believe is a p36 pacbrake on my 3406C Cat engine. Local guy here has a set of 346D Jake’s he wants to get rid of. I’ve never felt my pacbrake was very good but I’ve never put a tune up kit in it either. Looking up a tune up kit, it looks like you have to go through Jake (Cummins) to get one for the pacbrake anyways and it’s the same kit for all 346 Jake’s and pacbrake. So that tells me they’re basically all the same, but I have read a few people say the D version of a 346 is the best of them (excluding the 349). Any firsthand knowledge on here if I should try the 346D’s?
