I read this and i wonder why all the mileage calculations were made
when all i posted was that we fitted a turbo at 357 kms ,just to set the record straight the truck has 560246 klms now
The fact that RHD versions are built on the mainland has nothing to do with market share its the product thats sells not where its steering wheel is
The market in ireland is at an all time low for everything at the minute
and fuel and all other costs are out of control
Regards

They are still blowing up son....why don't ye fix them?....why don't ye give the smaller operator the warranty and back up that ye fall all over yourselves giving to big fleet operators? -
Hi bill, I'm an unfortunate ex-owner of daf, my daf's lasted no length and because I serviced my trucks with daf Netherlands and not daf Ireland this somehow rendered my warranty useless when my first engine expired at only 230,000 kms, the thing is my story is not an isolated one, this story is being repeated the length and breath of the country, riverstick is right, how many small operators you know bought a new daf in the last few years? Only large companies with leverage are buying them now, these heaps of ##### would put a small operator out of business in no time at all!
Btw the UK is not the 'mainland'! -
You can have them with 18 speed Fuller, or at least there is instructions how to use it in the drivers manual. No engine choices though.

This one was put on the road over here last year with a 18sp 510hp.Attached Files:

This company makes engines with Delphi SMART like on Paccar MX. and in E3 version too! -
We can now get DAF here with Meritor axles.

What rim bolt pattern? US ore EU?
DAF ATI was available with N14 in Euro-2 version. -
Have you noticed from his posts Scania man that 'The Pilgrim' is a DAF salesman from Northern Ireland/UK...Paccar US must be getting negative feedback that they had to draft in a second hand car saleman to try and defend their crappy carry on in the Republic of Ireland....who else would refer to the Bean as the 'mainland' only a Rodney Trotter....Last edited: Jan 10, 2012
