You really have something strange going on and I can feel your frustration I hate chasing ghosts and although I like it when a check engine light fixes itself it almost makes it worse by me wonder if it was something on the way or actually nothing at all??? I have ran both fleetguard and Paccar filters and again no issues Hope you find the culprit and my $$ is it will be something dumb
Im betting there is a crappy grommet or bracket or something somewhere stupid i cant find. Funny thing is this is not the first paccar i have used to have filter issues but it is the first where they are this bad. Had a paccar when i worked for usps and every time we got bio diesel the filters would clog but still went to 10-15K. For mine right now a 5 to 10k filter change interval seems to solve it but its still annoying as filters are expensive and i cant always get the pete ones. i HAD a pallet with about 50 (25 of both) on it but i ran out and with the issues ive had the last few months havent been able to order in bulk yet so ive been getting 2 or 3 of the change kits at a time and even those i sometimes need to get an offbrand filter for my prefilter. I only use paccar for the engine mounted one though. But consistantly within 1000 miles of the filter in my prefilter turning black start getting low fuel pressure codes and i have replaced or cleaned everything i can think of, it is driving me up a #### wall. Gods i cant wait till i get that 6nz put in....it will solve SO many headaches
Oi, I will not have you call me an absolute freaking idiot or stupid lol. Sucker possibly......but to date not so. Seriously, you guys have Fuel Doctor there? https://fueldoctors.com.au/ I use this in 2 trucks and my car to no ill effect. It has removed a pool of water from the bottom of the tank in one, and stops algae or bacteria and cleans plus whatever else. Snake oil I'm thinking not, as this companies main gig is cleaning large industrial tanks that are in location. It seems a lot easier, quicker, and safer to add this stuff each fill than possibly get a gut full of bad fuel. When I put in the dirty ol Mack, the one with the water, whole tank of diesel went black. I thought opps we are in for a show here but the truck ran fine. Next dose the diesel remained clear and water was gone. There seems to be many on the market that say they stop bacteria, or clean the injectors. Honestly any truck doing some highway miles will have clean injectors if the injectors are any good to start with. Fuel Doctor is the only one that deals with water which creates the bacteria that I have found.
Good to know I am stupid. Guess you are the old wise one that knows all about ALL! Give me a break dude and learn something new vs the old ways. Probably think that fuel is made the same way as it used to be.
