I thought they were upping the HP to like 510 . LOL......
Also if your adding lots of coolant , and not leaving puddles that's not good........
Coolant in the DPF is very costly...........
If your still under warrantee you might want to deal with the coolant issue.

Its TransAm's problem now. Or the next poor guy to lease that truck. I told them that even though it was in the shop that thr problem still hadn't been corrected, but wha do I know, Im just a dumb driver.

Did that. Tightened a few hose clamps and a pipe plug. No puddles and still need to add coolant.
Kenworth says it isn't happening...
What do I know, I only drive and live in it every day.

They are hoping it makes it out of warranty before it goes.

Ok, I have to admit that this engine is pulling pretty nice under the 680's hood. Pulling 43k right now and it doesn't even feel like 35k. Makes me think my issues are more with the 700 and not the engine.
-
The 700 is horrible in any kind of head or crosswind.
-
Interesting our t700 feels wimpy pretty much all the time with this engine.
-
the paccar engine isnt the problem
it is the 65 mph governor
i drove a new one like that for a week
glad to get my truck back governed at 68
i have to add gal of antifreeze every 10000 miles
typical problem on the 700
that small a leak you will never see on the ground
might even be the cap pushing it out the overflow
never added any oil on 50000 mile oil changes -
I liked my 700 a lot more for the few weeks I had it running 68mph because I could pass more efficiently. But The Bird is right. Any kind of wind except a tailwind slows you down bad. And it took forever to get up to highway speed under a load.

most likely an egr cooler draining into the intake and going out the exhaust ,look for dpf faults
