Still haven't solved my low power issue. But I had my mechanic check the charge air cooler (CAC) by itself, and it was leaking basically out of all four corners of the unit. It was losing about 5 psi per minute. Is that enough to affect the power in the higher gears?

No I haven't yet. But from doing more research and talking to others that had a similar issue, I'm leaning toward it being the unit pumps.

For the love of all good and holy don't let this thread dead end. Even if you end in "sold it" give us something

LOL I will definitely give an update or a fix when found. So many people on the Facebook pages for Paccar don't ever come back with a solution. Not fair to those who helped them and others looking for help.

I'm not convinced there's that many people that know much about the operating system on these. I currently have a 2020 389 with an 18 speed that's been sick since I opened the door with 315K on the clock. No codes, no leaks, sounds beautiful, fuel mileage is 6, won't pull a greasy string out of a cats ###. Learned how to run the overhead, maintain proper service, dog won't hunt. Just recently discovered one fuel unit pump is bad, not just a little bit but no codes whatsoever. Talked to numerous "Paccar Techs" about it that all say "Well that's not an issue if it's not logging a code." I don't have Davie because I've not determined I'm going to keep this unit, but apparently that's the only substantial difference between myself and those who have allegedly gone through courses on the Daf plants.

As far as techs go, you are pretty much correct. I have access to Davie and I've taught myself a lot of stuff and know more than some techs do. Are you on the Facebook Paccar pages? There's some good guys on there that are mechanics and techs. There's also a lot of ### holes that like to see their name on their screen so they have to say stupid stuff. The best page is Paccar (unofficial).

I'm not, I don't do the social media thing (mostly for that exact reason).
What does your low side pressure run, and did you change out your unit pumps? What do you see in Davie on the rail between actual psi and commanded?

Most of my Davie work has been on my EPA 10 which is much different than an EPA 17. My 2020 doesn't have the MX13 but the MX11 which is different in many ways from the 13. I cancelled my original Facebook page almost 4 years ago. I made a new one less than a year ago just for this reason. I've kept my friends to just 3 and I don't follow any politics. I follow the two Paccar pages and I've found some other pages I like to follow. But they are really helpful. Let me post your reply to me above about your issue and I'll see what they say.
