It's referring to either MegaBus, Greyhound Canada, or a Controller Area Network that handles communications between different electronic components in a vehicle. The 2 means it wasn't the first one.

Never had a truck throw that code I guess. That just a fancy way of saying there was a sensor or wiring issue?

Sorry that happened. But think I have read that exact same complaint about every single engine/equipment mfg to date on this forum. There is a small fleet of about a dozen trucks on the opposite coast of you switching to Paccar motors instead of Cummins due getting better service/reliability/fuel mileage etc.

Not discounting the experience you had at all. But have found a lot of Cummins motors opened up way to early for cylinder liners & electronic gremlins with the salesman saying how lucky you are to be buying a newer truck with fresh factory inframe. All of these newer motors seem to be more ready for market *testing* than actual ready for market.

They had problems with the PACCAR 11 12 models. They corrected the issue in 12 some were corrected at assembly. You gotta know what to look for on the 12 models to see if you got the upgraded engine. The 11 12 models were referred to the MX model . Some 12s are MX13 model and those were the upgraded engines so to be safe if you buy a PACCAR you should buy a 2014 or newer.
I know guys getting 8+ on 3.08 or 3.25 rears with 10spds. or 800mi on half tank fuel. 100gal tanks. He can pull MT Eagle with 42000 at 55 allday . Now with all that said he runs 63 65mpg. You run slower you have eng issues. Down fall to PACCAR is finding a Mech that can work on them. Most of the diagnostic are controlled by KW. so you gotta go to KW to get work done.

Thats crazy i was doing 35000 intervals lost a cam . Soot build up in these engines kill a motor. Why you think there junk after 600000 because oil is junk after 15000. Old pre egr engine oil was brown at 10.000mi now its black after 4000. Sorry but black oil is dirty oil IMO.
Soot builds up in oil passages and some of those passages are needle sizes hole(Rockers). Also oil with alot of soot leaves a gum residue on bearings from heat. increasing odds of spinning the bearing. Bad news. So change at 15000 be safer IMO

As I said in my previous post... The engine its self has not had any problems (then again I have only put 20K on it in six months). Its the electronics. Paccar has no clue what to do when you have CAN/BUS issues. The engine runs great, when it runs... I love the economy, power curve, its quiet and smooth. But 6 months of paying to "clear codes" then going 400 miles and having a stop engine light and derate has convinced me that Paccar is NOT the way to go for a small fleet or single truck O/O. Yes, Cummins has internal engine issues but I would much rather have a truck that runs everyday but breaks down and can be fixed than have a truck that is broken everyday and can NOT be fixed.
