Makes me fall in love again with my old 2001 6nz c-15. Have the pitts power box set on #3 and it runs like a top. But I drive it like a old man. OH, I am an old man. Good luck,I hope you can get it set correct again as they do a good job when set right.

When you tamper with emissions systems and allow these quacks posing as ECM performance gurus touch your stuff, this is what happens. You’ve severely damaged your resale value and any authorized PACCAR dealer will no longer service the motor once they see the delete. Did you really think you knew more than these engineers with decades of experience and the millions of dollars in R&D that went into developing that motor?
Your issue isn’t the rev limiter or the truck being “neutered.” Your problem is that you’ve taken a perfectly good motor and let some quack mess with it and now you have a boat anchor.

Hahaha I have a 455/1650 18speed.... It pulled 140k gross but took ages to hit my highway speed of 105km.....

Honestly man spend the money again and save your motor from further BS... get it re-tuned and Diesel spec is your best bet... heard nothing but good news about them

In Manitoba and Saskatchewan on the 1 she gets about 4-4.5 mpg average at 62,500kg. That's with no wind, lol. Past couple trips I've been hit with some killer head winds and its down in the 3.5 range.

Running 39,500kg with a single trailer and she gets about 5.5 mpg. Never run US weights with this truck, but I'd wager she'd get in the 6-6.5 range.

I drove a 550/2050 C-15 for a while running B-trains and a bit into the US. B-trains was down in the 3-4 range, but my best in the US was 6.6mpg at 76,000lbs gross. Now I drive a 470/1750 C-13 and 7 can happen with the right circumstances.

These Paccars aren't the most powerful motors out there, but they do their job fairly well. They really need a 15 litre option though, to get some bigger torque for B-trains. Apparently they are terrible on any big grades.

Honestly they are decent motors, I was doing 140k gross flatbed in Toronto Ontario stop and go traffic.... I averaged around 4.5 to 5mpg...

I was slow on the high end side tho and took a while to reach my speed.

When I was pulling 60 to 80k gross I got around 5.5 to 6mpg, theae numbers are all based in Toronto stop and go, It's in the shop now for a top set than it will be put to the challenge for US work.

    THEY SUCK ON BIG GRADES

Its an epa 10. With tune was getting about 6.2-6.5 running 70 and always close to 80,000. And pulled very well

Mine is still road worthy with no tune, 455 pulls fine but sucks on grades... I get about 5.8 to 6 grossing 80k

I just had a top set done and the pete mechanic said all my exhaust valves were way too tight and one was just sitting there.....

He said I should be around 7 to 7.5mpg now easy... I will keep you updated..

Kenworth did mine but i still only average 5.7 without tune. It does so so in high gears but getting going in the low side is pathetic
