    Driver friend of mine had to get a pacemaker and could have kept driving except couldn't get his heart rate tp stabilize. DOT doctor said if he can have it adjusted to stabilize his heart, he can continue to drive.

    I think the rules have changed now for pacemakers. I just googled it & it said an Implanted pacemaker is a disqualification

    Got a friend driving right now who has an implanted pacemaker. He has to re new every year. He also has some artificial heart valves.

    how long has he had it? According to the fmcsa website it’s a disqualification if u have an implanted pacemaker

    Couple of years..what's the difference in an implanted pacemaker and another..his is under the skin all I know if that's makes a difference.
