Yes there is. You have no real rights to protection with a gun in California.

I would worry about having my pistol locked up and unloaded while traveling "through" Cali, or NY or Mass or any of the other gun un-friendly states. Is this accepted as a legal way around state laws concerning firearm possession? I wouldn't want that argument on the side of the road somewhere. Sounds like a loose/loose/loose situation.

Vt is about as laid back as any state I know of. A pistol under every seat! But look at our borders: Canada, NY, Mass and NH. I just leave mine home.

    Pistols aren't much of a self defense option - I recommend drivers carrying either a MAC-10 or AR-15. :biggrin_255:

I've been around a few forums of different types (other than those dedicated to guns), and I've never, ever seen a gun thread that didn't generate some heated dialog.

Part of it is just due to the fact that people on the Internet will quickly spout off stuff anonymously that they'd be slow to say face to face.

So now you know what to expect...I guess.

    Bankrobba Thanks this.

Your exactly right NoWay...I was going to say what you just said...but didnt.....I try to be respectful to folks in person or on this puter...either way....if they will let me.....but if not....well a couple of these folks would not say in person what they say here or on a cb.....

my mechanic/friend of mine used to drive trucks back years ago before he decided to open up a mechanics shop. one of his trucking buddies has his head blown off in NYC. he told me back when he was driving down in NYC he wouldnt stop at red lights, slow down, keep going. told him the cops said to do that too ha.

and i dont think owning a gun is about putting a price on personal items. but what is that person gonna do to get them? i mean come on, where would a robbery be a nice safe thing?

"Good afternoon. if you have any money inside of your truck give it to me now"

    "no"

"ah shucks ok have a nice day"

    or what about

"hey there, do you have any money? give it to me"

    "ok here you go"

you would hand over money like that? no. usually when people rob someone they run up, demand something, if u dont hand it over you get smashed. just like that song goes "I got friends in low places". no one robs with out being ready to bash someones face in. period. it has nothing to do with personal belongs being worth more then a human life, anyone with half a brain would agree you cant put a price on a human life. its what the thugs will do to get it. and even after you hand over #### you are still in jeopardy you might still get smashed just so you dont think about calling cops. liberals have this misconception that the world is this big huge nice place and that there isnt evil out there, and there isnt people out there who lie cheat steal on all levels from the highest in government to the hood rats in the cities. no average guy like myself or anyone on this forum wants to take a human life, but if you back me up against a wall i'm bustin caps until you arent moving.
