That would work too. I'm 21 years old (next week) and still live in the 1990s with my military-spec flip phone and flash drive. I'm simple. Lol!

I'd like to add the following:
- smaller bag/backpack for toiletries and a change of clothes when you take showers at truck stops and company terminals.
- laundry supplies (dissolvable pods work well as they eliminate the possibility of leakage, especially when you like chlorine bleach)
-plastic baggies for things that could leak or be stored wet
-t-shirts, if you have to retire them from wear, you can replace them at WalMart and use the old ones for rags -

A_C_Cooper and austinmike Thank this.

I've only been in one truck stop shower that was not "mom clean", because we have stuck with the major chain truck stops...
There is "hospital clean", and then there is "mom clean", sometimes with great differences depending on the mom.... -
Do I need to bring any towels?
Wargames Thanks this. -
When I swam competitively, there was a product called the "sammy"... it was a 14" square chamois that worked as a towel... it was developed by Dr. Sammy Lee (personal coach to Greg Louganis and honorary member of my club swim team)... I would love to locate another one. -
Info for new drivers with no CDL. I recently finished the student driver program with Prime. Im now on the team driving phase.
I brought everything my recruiter listed and it is too much. All new students please do yourself a favor and travel light. You will get a bus ticket so there is a weight limit 1 bag 50 pounds and 1 carry on which must fit in overhead bin.
Your trainer is supposed to share space with you but let me tell you. It is their house, respect it as you are a guest. You wont get much room. My first trainer gave me a shelf in the cabinet and part of a shelf in the fridge. My second trainer has a smaller space so the top bunk has our stuff on it when the truck is moving. When it's parked we have to move bags to the front seats so we can sleep.
One large bag for everything and a small laundry bag for dirty clothes. Personal hygiene items such as soap toothbrush razor deodorant will all fit in a travel shaving bag. Clothes for 7 days pillow and blanket. Trust me it gets cold in the sleeper.
Sleeping bag is an option but i dont recommend it until after the CDL testing phase. You wont be sleeping in top bunk while truck is moving against most companies policy.
I think that's all. Contact recruiters with further info.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
