Yep, PAI fixed it for a week, failed, then OEM went in and it's been good for a long timeHopeOverMope Thanks this.

I have used some PAI and Mcbee kits without any problems. Look at the warranties real close. Cummings at one time covered parts and labor if it was a parts related failure. Less tow, oil, filters etc. Had to use their heads injectors and everything. Repaired an engine in their shop that was rebuilt at an independent shop.

I got some gaskets from McBee this week to redo my oil cooler and they look... less than optimal. I would have gone with PAI but all I could find online was packs of 5 each. It's hard for me to explain but they just look sloppy compared to the PAI and cummins parts. I can take pictures, just need to figure out how to post them. I'll see how they do and report back

Crazy the price difference. Just called on an oem one, local spot wants $1000 plus tax, o rings and gaskets. Then I find one by American cooling for $210. 1 year warranty but claims you won’t need it.
if it was only a couple hundred difference, no big deal, oem every time but $800 dollars more!?? Idk

I think I paid about $400 for PAI. For $200 and doing your own labor, it might be worth trying for youHopeOverMope Thanks this.

That crazy low price stuff is probably from China.
Out of frame commercial Isuzu engine parts I am looking at cost about $2500. They are individual instead of a kit. Basically the same as an in frame kit with end gaskets and seals. Takes about five weeks to get from Japan with regular freight. It is available as a kit in the US for $600.
The oil pressure sending unit was leaking on an N14. Called the dealer and ordered one. It showed up with a $195 bill. Ordered one from Amazon for $40 and installed it no problem. The next morning the gauge pegged out as soon as the key was turned on. Then it would do goofy stuff at times while working OK at others. Installed the other one and it is still working fine.
Both units looked identical. Had the same part number and made in Mexico on them. The box the $40 unit came in had Chinese looking righting on it.
The world seems to have forgotten about anti communism and victory gardens.
Labor on the sending unit was not bad but I would hate to do an engine again just for fun.spsauerland, bigguns and HopeOverMope Thank this. -
Ten4. And I think I have to pull the turbo to do it. Might as well go oem I guess. I really liked they’re sales pitch though “ 1 year replacement, but you won’t need it! “ made in USA ... USA company... who knowsbigguns Thanks this.

I used some Chinese heads and ordered an odd ball exhaust manifold. Took three weeks to get the manifold but it saved $500. Do not regret those.

I really want to do the $600 kit but find no customer reviews. Have the same OEM thanking.bigguns and HopeOverMope Thank this.
