Add reducer. When I stir paint I pull stick out,,,count to 4 and the paint should dripping off stick, not running. For a thinner paint it will be dripping off stick quicker,,2 count
. Keep in mind paint more likely to run so temperature and humidity factor in on flash time. There are numerous causes for orange peel. Lack of gun pressure, too much volume paint.
I assume you using gravity fed gun,,,so 45 lbs pressure, if its a HVLP gun you need BIG compressor volume. 12 PSI@ 90 minimum for best results
Odd thing happened when painting recently. A water base blue metallic was appearing very grey, I called paint shop( they pros)they told me move spray gun closer. Ended up spraying from about 8” to get the desired effect/color of paint. I still learning.

Not sure what temps you are in . But if using heat in shop is it the side closest to heater that’s better? If so turn trailer around to paint other side maybe ?
