You guys will have to forgive my Peterbilt ignorance here. Was the seminole paint scheme a factory Pete option? For some reason I have it in my head that it was a KW thing. Maybe it was both Pete and KW?

Hey brother I'm not sure about that... What I am sure of is that both Peterbilt and Kenworth weren't owned by Paccar at the time. I like the Peterbilt Motor Company door sticker on my door frame... Better days... In the 80s, and I believe even earlier, Peterbilt offered a real wide variety of paint schemes. The dealerships even had work sheets on how to do the layouts step by step...

I have seen some Pete paint drawings with the Seminole scheme. However I am like you and was thinking it was a KW thing.

I have seen some of those paint scheme work sheets. With so many combinations there was a good chance you would have one of a kind.

I've got a good parts guy, Eric at Allstate Peterbilt (thank God all Pete dealerships aren't owned by Rush yet...) in Fargo, ND. who was trying to get me the work sheet on stripe job I'm doing on this truck. I tell him every time I need parts how much I appreciate him and hope he isn't ready to retire before me... He's found parts for me that others don't even want to take time to look for... He's the guy that knows what micro-film is...

Ask the question on the Seminole paint scheme on an old truck site. Response was a guy at Kenworth designed it but Peterbilt also used it.

BTT with pics for @NorthernMechanic. The final coat blistered a little.... Maybe incorrect flash time I don't know.

This gave me a chance to look at the @beemergary Pete again. I never get tired of looking at that truck.
