I always remember an episode of COPS when they pull the scruffy looking truck driver out of a BLACK PETE 379 and he is wearing a BLACK TEDDY and black fishnets stockings and PUMPS

OP not saying this is a reflection of you at all but why do I always overhear complaints similar to this from guys at truck stops, meanwhile they are overweight, have mustard stains on their shirt and are drinking from their 99oz bladder destroyer coffee jug, looking like they haven't showered or groomed in days?I worry about myself and myself only. I'd never wear pyjamas to a shipper or receiver obviously, I'm the face of my company out on the road. I'd chuckle if I saw someone else do it, but I'd keep my thoughts to myself.

This is a job.. Treat it as such. You should be in a pair of pants with the cuff is about shoe high. Wear a pair of work shoes or good boots. No open toed shoes, loose or torn shirts. Most shippers or receivers if they see somebody in pajamas would first tell them to obtain proper attire and if the driver doesn't. They get 86ed off the property. It is an OSHA violation for wearing loose clothing that can get caught in moving parts . Now try to explain to your safety man why you were kicked off the property and why you are wearing pajamas. And if OSHA just happens to be there.. You employer just might also be fined for your pajamas.. This is a job.. Not the playboy mansion.

And you will have time to change when you get in an accident.. This isn't lounge around the house time.. It's called work time.. One needs to act it.
