Palomar SL41 microphone

Wow you guys really need to explore the manufacturing side of the radio world, it isn't what you think.

 

Anyone still using their SL 41 mic? I am currently using mine on my 29 chrome ltd and it works really good, loud and clear, however if I try and use it on the Uniden 880,980,or 68ltd when I unkey it makes a " Boooop " sound and I can hear it without talkback on, anyone know what may be causing that?

 

I don’t think the tune of the radio is causing this problem, especially since he used it on three different radios and have the same issue.
I believe the problem is in the microphone you can check out this video to see for yourself.

 

All 4 radios are stock and no sound from 29 chrome when I unkey even with talkback on.

 

If your a little more deliberate keying the Mic, you won't hear that clicking sound..."Mash the button like you got a pair!"

 

I think you miss understood him. He said the mic works great on the 29. I took him to mean there’s no booop sound while using it on the cobra 29. At least that’s the way I interpreted his posts. Still doesn’t makes sense to me as to why it acts up on the uniden radios, but not the cobra 29, especially since they are all stock radios.
