I really wonder what went wrong. I tried this mic on my Galaxy Pluto with the RFX75 and I would get a squeal. Eric sent me another one and did the same. Funny though.... my SRA198 amd original télex road king 56 absolutely no trouble. As a matter of fact... I get compliments on how crystal clear it is all day long when I’m using my 198. I even had drivers come up to me and check my set up out.

Do you still have your Palomar SL41?

Nope.... returned it.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Nah, I'll keep it, it sounds good and I can whisper in it and it sounds crystal clear.
I need to put a cb in my truck again. I'll try and do it this week.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -

So Rabbi, let me ask you this, why can't you come up with a conversion that is just as good?
Most of what was used is OTS stuff anyway. -
No test equipment. The magic is in the circuit board with all the surface mount components. It gives you lots of control over frequency response as well as output voltage level. I put a voltage divider on the one that I constructed from scratch and adjusted the level to various settings and it just doesn't sound right. I kind of got it put on the back burner for now but whenever I get a spare sl41 I'll remove the guts from it and put them inside my Bakelite case.

Well here is a suggestion, if Eric isn't going to make any more, and he is willing to release the schematic and BOL, then why not build a bunch. I don't see the issues with surface mount stuff, that's pretty easy to deal with, the Element I think I told you what it "could" be before.
-
I already have the schematic. I just want to build a couple for myself inside the Bakelite case with the leaf switch. I'm not really interested in mass production.

Dumb question.
Did he tell you what element?
