You are right, I try to avoid having any communication with people who use swear words left and right. It does make me cringe for sure

It's like I told Dave. Why would you push mow a yard if you had a riding mower? Why would you get a pen and paper to multiply 5,647 × 6,258 if you had a calculator handy? It's a menial task anyone with very little intelligence could accomplish with paper and pencil but why, when there is a faster/better way?

I prefer paper. I prefer not to use a calculator to do the math. It's almost like..... it makes you think about stuff.
But, I'm not one you should look up to either.

That's going to take my dyslexic derriere a full 30, unless we can make A and 4 interchangeable.

I'd still prefer the freedom of paper logs, but I don't miss trying to legibly write things small enough to fit, especially on those 4 trailer days.

    ‘Olhand and Oxbow Thank this.

Driver I've redone too many paper logs in the past I know better. Always a headache. On a laptop you can do the same thing in a fraction of the time. Not sure why everybody is so hard headed about loose leafs on a laptop. Way better than scribbling on paper.

Motive is what we use. You can edit everything anytime you want. I prefer it versus having to rewrite anything previous.

    Opendeckin and Oxbow Thank this.

Yup, it’s pretty easy. I’ve not torn a single piece of paper in half since but some people will never understand it.

Oxbow and Tall Mike Thank this.

I’m still on paper. I’m with Last Call on this one. If an LEO wants to see my phone, he’s gonna have to have a warrant.
My logs look like total ####. I have horrible penmanship, no ruler with lines that would be accused of being straight, when I make a mistake, I just scribble over them. I rarely start over if I make a booboo. I guess I’ll keep going this way until I get written up for illegible logs!

Vampire, Last Call, Sons Hero and 2 others Thank this.

You’re makin two different assumptions with this statement….
First that I can actually Afford a Laptop
and Second that I could possibly figure out how to turn one on… let alone use it
