I thought this was a thread originated for tips on "maximizing" paper logs. Turned into thread about DOT "guidance" text must be followed as some sort of "law", and that somehow we must drive and work and wait on 15 minute intervals to change duty status and we must round to the driver's detriment, not the driver's benefit.

This "new breed" is turning trucking into a job with a lot more hassle then it needs to be. -
Ok, fellas please read before you reply. Especially if you are going to quote. You look and sound stupid if you do otherwise.
I said, "You didn't read; there are no rules on rounding. Do what you want, but that 6min you used in your example (referring to Rust's first rounding post example) is 6+ miles down the road I am and my logbook will look the same and be no less legal......."Last edited: Sep 2, 2015
truckon Thanks this. -
I'm sorry if I didn't read between the lines. As that's the only place I didn't read. Didn't realize we were supposed to do that on this site. I'll try harder next time. I promise! At least my replies were in reference to what I quoted. But maybe that's the wrong way to do things too? I'm so confused!
I'm, also, done with this conversation.
