Do you have a gps? I have a RM510 and it has a logging program in it. Just record it as you would an elog and then copy it all on paper.

well drivers go ahead and sign that log book before your done....now you have falsied a log and signed off on it. no you will win in court every time if that log is not signed. have the officers sign the log and refuse to sign off intill after court. as for how to log what you do....i fudge most of it. i want every mile i can get.....i want those 720 mile days as much as i can. yes you do need to show the last change of duty, so if you loaded that day than you need to have shown loading and back to on duty driving. other than that i dont log any other stops but fuel and even them i drop some off....

Don't get too spoiled by paper logs.Soon enough you'll be forced to go back to elogs for good.
-
Who told you that lie?
-
You never heard that huh or are you being sarcastic? Why do you think most the companies are on elogs now? We're the worst drivers on the planet so FMCSA will stop at nothing to keeps our roads safe for the perfect 4wheelers.
truckmonkey Thanks this. -
Only companies on elogs are the ones that hire recycled and unemployed computer programmers and fresh meat

Ugh. just because the log isn't signed does not mean you CANNOT be written up for having a falsified log. And I can legally sign a log before the end of my day if I've logged off duty because I'll be off the rest of the day. So I can technically sign a log early. You will NOT win in a NEBRASKA court! I CAN tell you that much. And if you need those 720 mile days you need a new carrier because they're obviously not paying you much if that's what you need to run and how you have to run either that or if you're under your own authority you need new brokers. Guess all I can say is don't get caught at the chicken house on HWY 2 just west of Neb. City. They'll have a big grin on their face while they're slapping the cuffs on you and writing the fines. You will wind up in jail after that one, and you won't win in court.

Why yes yes we are the worst drivers on the planet...maybe we should give the FMCSA what they asked for. I'm gonna quote that truck driver from the bridge scene in armed and dangerous "just like those bumper cars remember?"
