Use a grease pencil and write on the windshield. -

This is the right answer.
Aren't you doing P&D runs?
You're probably keeping a trip sheet anyway; as you fill out the trip sheet, make sure the log matches. -
for everything in life, there's mastercard, and an app. logbooks also.
why screw around with your windshield, notepad, or whatever. just install a log book app.
there's also voice recorder apps. assuming you have a voice that can speak into the mic on your phone. -
I think you are missing the point, as a new driver your company wants you to keep the paper log for a few days even though your fleet is on e-logs so you get proficient at completing them. Do it as you would if you did not have an e-log, it is good practice since one day your e-log is going to fail and you will have to be able to do the paper log throughout the day, not copy it from notes later that night. Paper logs are a skill all drivers need to have and one most drivers screw up, even if they have never used a electronic log. Why do yo think they spend half a day or more on logs in any orientation? They are trying to prevent stupid fines from happening by making you practice.
BrenYoda883 Thanks this.
