Parallel parking! Are they serious?

    If you don't learn parallel parking then you end up being "that guy" partly blocking the freeway entrance at the rest area because he had to jackknife into a parking spot... yep, the ### end of the trailer and the nose of the truck were well off the road, but the drives and front of the trailer were sticking out a couple of feet in the travel lane.

    If you know how to parallel park then you know how to move your trailer tandems, and that is an essential skill for getting into position for a 90º dock or pretty much any backing situation.

    Yes we teach the sight side and blind parallels to students. Students learn this on their second day driving in the yard. I seen some good YouTube videos explaining step by step and be parked in 4 turns.
    Never been to a packed rest area where you need to park on on/off ramp between two trucks?
