Parasitic Draw?

    I don't know where it is, a friend had a problem with wiring getting really hot, and it turned out the control module had voltage going to the motor, I don't remember if it fried the motor but it did melt some of the wiring.

    Wasnt the control module, whay is everything so difficult. Lol

    If the step is the only thing on that circuit that you don't need then leave the relay out or cut the power going to the step motor.

    OK post a picture of the relay location with a couple wide shots. Maybe it isn't your stairs?

    I am 99.99% sure that relay is for the stairs, next to the relay there is a fuse, when you pull that fuse the steps dont work, when you plug the fuse in, the relay in question clicks.

    No markings on fuse or relay.
