Yuppies went to "Woodstock" !
I believe you are confusing Yuppies with Hippies. Hippies had "Woodsstock", Haight Ashberry (SF), in the 60's. Then again what do I know.

As for the driver, breaking the law is breaking the law. If waking him up is against the law, so is illegal parking. Two wrongs dont make a right. Besides having this disagreement with a employee, who is only enforcing the rules of the property and company. Maybe, legally parking and not breaking the law would have eleviated this problem to begin with. Just saying.

oh okay.tongue in cheek was my intent, hence his trainer told him it was ok. regarding inspections and tickets left while you are asleep,i'd ignore the heck out of them since i didn't sign acceptance of said ticket.kind of hard to give you one if they don't have your driver's license to use against you.

in the meantime,i don't park at rest areas in south carolina, north carolina,pa.,or tn. as i have seen the dot in each of those states wake sleeping drivers up and perform inspections.I have never blocked a fuel pump either unless i can't pull any farther out than i already have.regarding having trucks towed, that is strictly up to the management of the truck stop i would think, not the cops.

lol, not offended but I have never been called a Yuppie. I certainly never thought I would be a truck driver 10 years ago when I was working on Wall Street making three times what I am making now but I have never been happier in my life than I am right now. I freaking LOVE driving this truck and yes, we are considered paid tourists. For example, we booked a load to Phoenix last week so we could catch a couple of Spring Training games over the weekend or catching my son playing in the New Mexico Bowl in December. Pretty sweet to get paid to go everywhere I want.

Wait -hold the phone.
Yuppie test:
1) do you or have you owned a BMW or Prius ?
2) Do you or have you ridden a bicycle down the street in front of cars just because the law allows it ?
3) Is imported wine and imported beer your drink of choice ?
4) Do you think the truck you drive should have tighter emission standards .
5) Do you protest cutting down trees for lumber- but have hardwood floors through out your house?
6) Is waking a driver up against the law --but parking at the fuel island acceptable ?
If yes you may be a yuppie ---Just funnin ya.

The good news is I can honestly answer no to every one of those. Well, the only exception is I do love Guinness.

he is not entitled to park where he parked so whatever he did after that is wrong
makes no never mind if he was in sb or whatever

it is a "no parking" area for reasons that are much higher priority than this little man's 10
many no parking spots are designated as such because there needs to be access for firefighters and other first responders who service public for health & safety

if it is no parking for love's convenience then he needs to respect that when on their prem because they have the right to ask him to leave at any time

miss. noreen should get special recognition for keeping her workplace safe for the rest of us
this guy should get a citation and some csa points and go back to cdl school

My level of contempt for this moronic steering-wheel holder is matched only by the frustration I feel knowing there are probably a million more like him in this profession today.
