I'm at the Pilot in Tolleson. Been here all day, haven't even been out of the truck. The flu will do that to you.

Hid out at big country in Merkel Texas. For the moment any way, just not as comfortable here as it used to be.
-
That used to be a pretty good place, it just go down hill?
-
Gotta couple of I don't know what to call em, bumpin there gums about the smell of my wagon. I parked as far away as I could on the up wind side from everybody, apparently that not good enuff. I have run harder the last 7 days than I have in ten years I can't sleep with one eye open and don't want to risk damage to my equipment. I guess they missed the antenna on my mirror or assume its off. But it ain't in me to just slink off either, they probably just blowin. I woulda washed it out but I'm give out.
TruckDuo and TwinStickPeterbilt Thank this. -
Well no events to report from big country thus far amazing what 7 hrs of hard sleep and breakfast will do for you. We gonna have to put the ol girl up against the dash and kicker in the $%^ to make it all come together.
Hammer166, TruckDuo and TwinStickPeterbilt Thank this. -
Parked at the brake check area before you go down El Cajon pass if that's how you spell it. Signs say this is not a rest area, but it will be tonight. Would of went to Ontario if I didn't have to pay 20 bucks to park. 40 miles from receiver and loads delivers at 2am. Time for some shut eye. Oh ya if anybody has ever been to McLane in Riverside, CA and they let you park on the street let me know. Might be a factor in deciding if I want to get there an hour early or 30 minutes early. Anyway. We back quiet.

Dinomite, your in California a lot. Is that your home state ?
-
No Oklahoma. Yes I have put in a lot of miles in CA this month. I normally only come here once or twice a month or every other month. But I guess it beats my usual stomping ground of the North East. I've only been as far as Michigan since I got my new truck in December. I was born here, but raised in TX. I kinda have a feeling I'll be headed farther East when I get my Utah load off. Hopefully South East
but I'm about due a Hunts Point load so I guess we will see in a few days.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
if you google McLane you will see trucks parked on the side streets all around there
google earth saves my butt a lot
of course I am at the TA in Ontario as I type
I save my wish list at TS for this place
never have any trouble buying $20 worth of stuff
hell $12 for the buffet covers 3/4 of it
trip planning fixes everything
