Ran all my 9 hrs today... got here with 9 mins left... Inspected truck, adjusted tandems for tomorrow, checked the load to make sure was secure, cleaned windshield like I always do, prepared paperwork, did my paper log (I have elog but like to do paper log for my own records), walked around parking lot to exercise my legs, called my poor dad in Brasil... his situation is really breaking my heart... Took a shower, washed some clothes in the sink, hang clothes to dry on my windows... Cooked some brown rice... now will prepare some vegetables to have with it... Will leave early in the morning and run about 9:30 to destination south in TX... Will park at an empty lot and walk around to check possible ways to get into the place where I am supposed to deliver on Monday morning... It's a very narrow gate to a school on the RHS of a narrow 2 way street in a residential and commercial area... :biggrin_2552: All these narrow, tiny places where trucks are not supposed to go make me nervous... :biggrin_2552:

Oh hell yes. That place is a dump. If your eastbound, take it to at least the 18, that little truckstop is better than the J.

West bound the Camp 30 at exit 2 usually has parking all night.

Parked at the little indie truckstop in Merkel, TX. About 6.5 hours from home.

Have a load of fabric and accessories to make car seats headed to Ensamble De Interiores Automotrices, SA #3, which is also known as EDIASA 3, (pronounced "Eddie Ahsah Tres" ) the factory in Juarez owned by Johnson Controls that makes seat covers for vehicles such as the Toyota Tundra and Corolla.

That describes about a quarter of the Texas school district delivery spots. My favorites are the ones that leave half your rig hanging out into the street since the dock was never intended to accommodate more than a straight truck. Temple ISD is one of those. PS: If that's where you're at, it's safe to circle the block and come in from the west for sight-side backing.
