Don't eat at the travel plaza. Walk up the hill to the craft store. They are open from 8AM to 8PM. They have great food there for just a little more money than the fast food crap with the prices jacked up

I haven't been running as much as I would like...
But after calculations, ran 13,350 miles in June, including 2 resets...
The last 8 days (including today) come to a total of 4,092 miles... Considering the truck speed governed at 65 mph... I think that's not too bad...
I thank my 2 dispatchers.... They are excellent professionals and do a GREAT job.
My load delivers on Tuesday... unless receiver tells me they can receive it on Monday... will call them tomorrow and find out. So, now, I am taking a 34 at this Shell/FJ on I-84 OR.
And finishing cooking a delicious and very healthy meal... hmmmm.... Sweet potato stuffed with broccoli and cream milk, pasta and salad... Oh yeah... I am vegetarian and cook my own food...

Dinomite Thanks this. -
Sitting at my Dallas yard. That empty trailer never materialized so when it approached drop dead hour to cover the load I suggested to planning to have me bobtail back to Dallas and grab an empty and then I would just find something from there if they had somebody to cover the load. Surprising they went for it under the condition that I grab one off the yard and do a local delivery d&h to Garland. It paid me fairly and the load I grabbed out of Dallas to Tifton, Ga tomorrow more than makes up for the 2 preplans I lost and keeps me run ing through the holiday.
Then I realized they got the last laugh when I realized I would be getting to Dallas right at rush hour -

I had to park at the Sapps the other day. I never seen the Petro packed like that. I wish I could open my windows down here in TX. I could swear I seen a mosquito curling a 20 lb barbell in the corner. I'm @ some Rinki Dink truckstop in Nacogdoches, TX. Delivered my 1st load and was trying to make it down to Lufkin. When fatigue said. STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE B4 YOU BREAK MY HEART. THINK IT OVER......... When Fatigue start singing buddy. It's time to park it. Will pick up my chicken load in the morning and head to Amarillo. Stop in Dallas to do the physical. Said I couldn't do it in Houston. Anyway time to let my brain relax and go in cruise mode. We goneeeee

Speaking of chickens. While I was buying some snacks here at the Little Rock Petro, a chicken truck was pulling away from the fuel island and one of those critters managed to get loose.
The fuel island staff weren't able to stop the truck but they did manage to corral the chicken.
Chickens loose on the fuel island, only in Arkansas.

What's a shame is just knowing that fun fact.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
The ones in my truck, their jailbreak days are over.
So.. the question remains. In AR, how many drivers and truck stop staff does it take to capture an escaped future value meal?
