Then you don't want to hear about my RAM dash mount. $56 shipped. I finally got tired of the beanbag sliding toward the windshield. The mount is similar to what Rocks did, just with a super adhesive pad to stick the base to the dash without the tape reinforcement. Permanent is fine with me since I don't plan to move it to another vehicle and it's my truck to tear up as I please. The part the GPS snaps into has a slick roller mechanism that the original holder snaps into. Holds the GPS much more securely into the electrical socket and still easy to remove (I do remove my GPS when parking at home). I'll post pics when I get my truck back from the shop in a day or two.
I used RAM mounts for a couple of motorcycle applications and they are top quality and do not slip. I mounted my base a little beyond the flat part of the dash toward the windshield. The arm is articulated so that the GPS appears to hover right where I want it. They have a selector tool on the website to help you get the right pieces for mounting anything. GPS, tablet, laptop, whatever.

Edited to add: I really don't like the windshield mounts. Too much in my line of sight for my taste and the suction cups eventually fall off at the worst time. Stuff on the dash is ok as long as it's low. I have a scangauge on the far left, and the gps and analog clock are center-right. Never any books, paperwork, or other loose crap up there.

About to crawl into the sleeper here in Tallulah, LA. I ran all night from Georgia, and looking at my windshield, I swear I ran through several flocks of hummingbirds. They grow those bugs big and juicy this time of year.

my suction cup never falls off maybe all the tobbaco stains holds it on
I did have to move it a few times until it wasnt in a bad position -
Pulled the knobs @ the Pilot in Oak Grove, Kinturkey. Was able to knock out 749 miles in 12hr 24min with cruise set at sixty deuce Yesterday. Only 6 more hours to go till pay dirt. Thinking I'll go ahead and take full 10 here and mossy into the atl in the cover of darkness. Just the way a super trucker rolls. Anyway. Time for a nap, and maybe get some laundry done. Where is some laundry doing commercial company when you need it. Maybe it's out there. Just don't have a cb to get their attention. Any who its lights out~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That's only good if you leave the circles on the glass when you move it.

Well I have a idea . I will hang it from the window knobs on the sleeper windows.
I am thinking that way with the windows open and the air on . They will dry faster....

I would not call you a cheap son of whatever...
I agree with you... $ 25.00 is too much for that... And you do well in not spending money with something that will not work...
tangerineGT Thanks this.
