Parked Here for the Night

Mrs. Bobcat finally made it out to Phoenix this evening and is snoozing away in the sleeper. I know the airlines own the $30 million dollar airplanes, but you think they could be able to estimate arrival times within at least five hours! We load up tomorrow morning at 0630 and are headed north towards Reno. She has only ridden along once in the 5 years we've been married, so I hope to show her some real super-truckin tomorrow.

and some of us aren't going to go down that road again. (At least that's what I keep telling myself)

 

Was unloaded at 7:30 am today. Got another load assignment and headed to IL... Parked at a truck stop early this afternoon in IL ...




Took a shower, sent fax, bought bag of ice, had french fries and salad... called my dear dad in Brasil, called shipper and they said it was ok to park at their place overnight... All right!!! So, now I am at dock 3 at shipper... near Chicago but not quite there...

Will sleep well tonight.... hopefully will be loaded early in the morning and will not have to deal with freaking traffic jam...

 

Flying J, Orange Tx. Taking beer to Monroe, La the reloading out of Crosett, AR to Kansas City. Vacation in 5 days

 

At Siemens in Southaven, MS. Lost a tire and mudflap bracket at the Love's in West Memphis thanks to a giant pothole hidden under standing water from the heavy rain yesterday.

 

Waiting for the receiver to finish unloading us in Reno. Then we're parking the truck at a self storage place, picking up the rental car, and vacation til Monday. Wife's doing all the driving next few days.

 

Yeah, yeah yeah. That's what I told myself after both of mine. However, the third time was a charm, 22+ years and still going strong. It just takes meeting the right person. At the right time. In the right place.
