i was the 12th truck in line behind that mess

going back up to evanston and around on 39 was a different experience
pretty much a goat path

 

Guess it's been awhile since I've been on the Kansas side of KC. Didn't realize this little Valero is now a Pilot. Packed to the gills at 17:30 as is the QT on the other side so I have a curbside parking spot. I wonder how many trucks like me are staged here till 2000 when ASSociated grocers opens the gates. 0300 appt. I will consider myself lucky if I am out by 11.

 

After pick up this morning, at a rest area in MO... will start driving again at 3:30 am to deliver in Oklahoma City and then head to co. terminal to drop this trailer and get another one.

 

In what must be a world record. I was out of my door 1 hour after appointment time. Stunning.

To to counteract my good fortune I had 2 skids of overage. But once again good luck smiled on me as we have a yard on the Missouri side of the river and I got the last empty that wasn't red tagged. So gonna take a nap before headed out to Lawrence which will take me to Bloomsburg PA and to my parents place in Jersey by Saturday for 8 days off.

 

Picked up at one of our regular back haul customers in Cheraw, SC.

 

Sitting in Davenport , IA.... waiting for a place to drop my trailer. Not really sure why I have to wait , I always thought thats why they have "drop lots" ... lol



Oh and Cranky , Rocks. I found a way to mount my gps. I broke down and got a suction one . Now I won't eat for a day or two because I spent $20 on that.
So far it seems good and is staying on. Even drove through Indiana. Lol

mine has a locking arm on it stays suctioned
