I am very cozy in the truck. For me it's about having actual human interaction that dosent involve listening to one trucker trying to out do the next trucker' tall tale.

Before I started trucking, I knew a Brazilian truck driver, friend of mine here in the US... he would stop by once in a while on Saturday nights... I would go to the truck stop, pick him up and take him to restaurants and night clubs... and then would take him back to his truck... all he wanted was to enjoy a little bit of social life after being stuck in the truck for days and days... Despite of being tired, he still wanted to have fun... before going back on the saddle... :yes2557:

Those stories are kinda funny . Lol

A guy at our terminal was telling someone once that he had put 200,000 miles on his truck in 6 months . :biggrin_25523:

So I asked him if he could do simple math , and what was his favorite color crayon. :biggrin_2559:

He was also telling us that his was the only truck in the fleet with a CAT motor in it.

I had to leave before I hurt his feelings. Lmao

+1 on that last part from me too. And good TV including shows that recorded while I was out. Bathroom/shower any time I want right in the next room. A car to get around in that isn't 65 feet long and gets 6-8 mpg. Parking place that doesn't smell like urine. I could go on and on.

Side note: I bought a new truck mattress from bigrigmattress.com at MATS this year. I will probably buy a king size for my house from them when the old one needs replacing. I sleep as good in the truck as I do at home. So it isn't a bad mattress when I'm on the road.

Every truck I have moved into, I got rid of the mattress... and replaced that with sleeping bags... Since when I was 17 yrs old that I like to sleep on hard surfaces... :yes2557: with no pillows... The bed here in the hotel room is not very soft but I prefer my bed in the truck... only convenience here is the bathroom inside the room... :biggrin_25519: Besides the refrigerator and the kitchen...

Pilgrims pride In Green Forrest Ar. She may have a little hood but she has got a lot heart, and that little CAT motor runs like a pup.

If I'm coming into town, I'll see my kids, maybe hook up with a lady friend or two then bounce out.
