I picked up a load in Rincon, NM at a chili processing plant. 43,500 lbs of crushed red pepper. Due in Portland, OR on Friday at 7am. Since I've pretty much have an extra 24 hrs, I'm taking my time, lol.
Called it an early day at the old Giant Travel Center in Jamestown, NM. Needed to scale (no public scales between Rincon and here) and get my Oregon permiso faxified to moi.
Guy who loaded my trailer knew what he was doing. This is with the rear axle at the 41' mark.

I once saw a truck driver person in line at a Pilot... could not say whether the person was a male or female...
the person seemed to have some boobs, and a bra, was wearing low cut t-shirt, very tight kinda shorts and female sandals.... the person seemed to have some kind of makeup, painted nails and the hair was long... the voice could be male... or female... Maybe the person was a gay guy... looked more like a drag queen...
truck driver...
first one I've seen so far...

And everything went well today... called receiver at 7 am and they said, "come right up and we will unload you right away"
It took them a little over one hr to unload me... and by the time they finished I had already talked to dsp, had all the info about my reload, checked my route and all... and was good to go...
Dropped empty trailer at a customer in Morton Grove, IL and bobtail to co. warehouse in IN... then, grabbed another empty and headed back to IL for a my pick up tomorrow...
Passed by Chicago area twice today...
First time wasn't too bad... and I was bobtail... Second time was during rush hr and I had the trailer... Everything was fine till I-290... once a passed that... it was slow at 10, 20 and 30 mph...
I wasted 30 mins in that traffic jam... I could have left warehouse one hr later... but don't think that would have help me much...
Now I am parked at customer's dock...
Very quiet here...
DSP asked customer today if I could park here overnight...
and they agreed...
gotta go to bed... folks will arrive at 6 am...
