When I first started , I used to scale everything over 35k . My son has a whole collection of those cards . He loves them , my wife said he will look at them for a day or two after I leave the house ... lol
Now I dont scale anything under 42k and he always asks me why I dont bring hime those cards home anymore ..hahaha

Lost my mind and took a Texas load to start the week with. I've been doing laps to PA since the spring, so almost forgot what less hills was like. Very pleased today with fuel economy, getting 6.8 - 7.0 mpg with 28k on board and 65-70 mph. This same load running the 85/77/81 route would have been at least a half a mpg less. Not feeling like a hard charger today, so parked at the Shreveport Petro staged for an 0200 departure to deliver in Waco around sunrise or so. For the first time in many stops here, I'm early enough to get a good spot up close to the main building, bonus is I'm pointed towards the fuel pumps to top off my reefer before I leave in the am.
Good news: in the last half a year, Alabama has finally about cleaned up that I-20 mess out near Anniston. A few other areas done too. A pretty nice ride in fact. The new pavement on the I-459 SB merge from 20 was a real nice improvement. Bad news: Lots of hope and prayer has not caused the stretch of I-20 in Shreveport to smooth itself out. Maybe they'll find a few dollars and do something before semis start falling thru the bridge joints. -
Oh great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My truck picked now of all times to want a regen ...... -

Boston at 8AM--calling it traffic isn't fair--since traffic suggests movement--and at that time of the morning--there is NONE--LOL--there isn't any actual parking per se off of 36--but-it really depends on where you are going---lots of customers up that way are actually very cool--and as long as there is ANY kind of room at their place--and you can get outta the way--you can park there--and a few of the industrial areas are extremely lenient about on street pkg--so for what it is worth--I suggest you call the folks up there..
Oh and one other thing to be very aware of--most of that stretch of 95(north of the pike--90)allow traffic(cars and buses only)to use the right hand shoulder as a lane...not unusual for traffic to be crawling--with a nimrod or 12 runnin 50+mph down the shoulder...combine that w/the very short on/off ramp combinations and it can get very interesting--KEEP your eyes openFatDaddy Thanks this. -
I figured I'd be long dead before that construction ended

So did I. But it was wide open when I came through. Rest area on the west bound side is still closed.

My week from hell continued yesterday as my load got cancelled and it took the weekend crew 12 hours to get it off me so I could start over from scratch and plan my next 2 loads. It all worked out as I picked up 2 nice paying loads. Getting loaded now in Pasedena, TX where I just got lectured by the security guard for 5 minutes for pulling up to the sign that says "check in here"....apparently I was supposed to stop further back and walk up to the shack...oh well. Taking this one to Chattanooga where I will offload Wed morning then run over to Rome Ga and reload to take one to Breingsville Pa.
