I used to give those truck cards to someone who would give them away to kids at children's hospitals...
I scale any load that I find "suspicious" ....as I have encountered wrong weight on BOLs before... The weirdest was a preloaded trailer... It showed the weight was 40,000 lbs on BOL but after scaling it, found it was only 10,000 lbs... It happened to be one piece of machinery on wheels not properly secure that got loose inside the trailer, busted the doors open and almost fell out of it on the road...

Be THANKFUL your truck will let you know when it needs a regen...
Apparently, mine doesn't...
...and when all engine lights (orange and red) start flashing,
it's time to go to dealer shop ASAP... Problem is, I never know when and where it will happen...
It has happened twice... so far... and after replacing a DPF and a bunch of other expensive parts, Freightliner has still not been able to detect what causes it...

LOL
I know... you smart ###...
Hey... no rush... weird... coming from me huh?

I am here...
in NM... was going to park at TA but thought this one across the street would be quieter...
And I was right... this place has been not totally full since yesterday and it's practically empty now... Moved to a better spot and this is my view from sleeper berth window...
Will be very easy to leave early in the morning...
in comparison to TA across the street...

Lol. I got the warning when I woke up sweating because the truck shut down
So , I got up and was like . What in the hell !!!!!!
Then I noticed the lights flashing , "oh #### !!!!"
I put her in regen and went back to bed because if someone did get mad , I didnt want to be sitting in the drivers seat ...hahahaha -
I am at TA exit 1 off of 94 in IL , appears I am right on the Wisconsin boarder

It was not a good day , i'll say that ... I had 4 drops in the chicago area and when I say area , I mean right in chicago .
Almost hauled a bridge but was smart enought to turn around (lol) they had some construction going on and the detor sign was not in my favor . Lol
Now I am parked , I need a cold beer but cant have one , and if I ever get this trip again I am setting the brakes right where I sit and going home ....hahahahahaha
Oh , and on one of my stops the guy comes out says; ok , park here and we will unload you off the street , you will need to bring the pallets to the end of the truck.... oh and no one out here works for me , so dont let anyone try to help you ...

After 4 hours in the door, I am here in Iowa, La at a smallish Loves. Decided to fill up and knowing how parking generally is in Hammond by the time I would get there decided to grab a spot here and just run hard tomorrow starting at about 0300. Had hours to make it to about Laurel, Ms but not having run I59 in awhile I didn't want to be stuck for parking at 2300 and no hours so played it safe since I have time.
