Parked Here for the Night

Unloaded in TX by same guy who loaded me in FL... And rushed to next shipper about 2:30 hrs away... Got a full trailer load and now parked at my co. terminal in OK because I suspect wouldn't find a good parking spot at 23:00 at a service plaza... there's nothing at my co. terminal at night... only a portable toilet... that I don't use... no water, no faucet... Well, that's ok... I got everything that I need in the truck... Leaving at morning rush hr... heading to NY...

 

Parked right outside Milwaukee for the night finally .

I looked on google maps and I think it failed me this time . I didnt realize this building has three businesses in so I hope these other people dont get pissed because I am kinda on there side . Not in the way or anything .... but what ever I am tired . I think I was micro sleeping since Chicago skyway to here . Well maybe i'll make a you tube video about and become famous

Just arrived at the TA in Foristell Mo. Just been trashin along, not in any big rush. It's kinda nice to have a lil time to get somewhere. Figure on being in Hotlanta tomorrow evening. Keep it cool on your stool.

Already watched a swift truck pull out in front of a tmc truck with a oversized load in the parking lot. Things are gonna get good and I have a front row seat

 

Parked at a BP with plenty of parking in Newnan GA. Much quieter than the Pilot on the other side. 35 miles to my 0800 appt then reload and off to West Jefferson OH

 

You know I have found some of those BP's to be pretty easy to find parking sometimes .
I guess because everyone is looking for the bigger places ..

 

I went to high school in Newnan. Back when none of that stuff was there. I don't miss it at all LOL.

Now parked at the TA in Troutville, VA. staged to sleep in for an 0530 departure for a afternoon appt on the west side of ATL. If they stay true to form, the freezer will take just long enough that I cannot avoid rush hour and a two hour trip back to the yard 40 miles away. I think I'll be helpful and turn my CB on to ask everyone why the traffic isn't moving.

 

Back in El Paso after a quick run out to Eloy, AZ to relay a California load to another driver who picked up an El Paso bound load in Tempe. Krispy Kreme supplies. 16 pallets. Bills said 37k. We both took off. Turns out it was closer to 40. I get to Wilcox and decided I better double check the weight and find that there was 36280 on the drives. With the tandems all the way forward. The pallets were all loaded in the nose.

After dispatch was unable to find someone to reload the trailer anywhere in Wilcox, we decided to use a fellow drivers suggestion about how to bypass the Lordsburg scale through Lordsburg. Exit at the loves exit. Park at the loves for a while. Cruise over to the pilot. Park for about an hour then take off. The scale officers essentially lose track that way. It apparently works because I got here with no tickets.

Got to El Paso and met up with the delivery driver who trans loaded the pallets to his truck. Turns out the first 7 pallets were the heaviest.

Not advocating running around the scales but sometimes you have to do it to get the job done.

 

Gobber and Gomer still pumped gas there back then?

 

I'm at a big rest area in IN... finishing eating my last warm meal of the day... a nice & delicious vegetable soup with brown rice and barley... will rush to bed right after that... gotta run, run and run tomorrow... can't afford delays... so I can arrive 30 mins before delivery appt time in up state NY on Friday morning... No time for shower, groceries at WM.... gotta run...
