You're not joking. Working for them was my first real W2 job at 15 yrs old (not including mowing lawns and throwing newspapers from a bicycle before that). Cox Brothers Chevron. Pumping full serve gas and mounting tires. My folks were running a contracting business at the time and had a store account with them. Not a credit card. You actually signed a receipt book and they mailed a check once a month to settle up.

Freddie Cox is still around. After he and his brother sold out in the '80's, he went to work for the county sheriff's department. Now retired from that. Not sure about his brother. I think he may have passed away.

Now sitting at Americold Westgate (Atlanta) getting unloaded in record time. Not sure if it was flashing my gold tooth, or walking the pit bull -off- the property this time that got them to be nice to me today.

 

sitting at mi casa. have to unload in the AM @ Royal Foods in ATL. grab a nap and a bite to eat then up and at 'em. keep it cool!

 

Pretty much . I mean I work for swift but no means just a wheel holder..

I'd rather park at small place or rest areas if possible. Unless I need fuel first thing a.m.
If I do park in a big place . I try and do it around 5 to 6 p.m. and park inbetween two of the nicest trucks I see ...

 

hey PackRat....with a fast enough truck you can just blow by em...in the dark of course, with all your lights on a separate switch , cutting them off one by one, ...not that i would know about this mind you

 

and just how many steering wheel holders admit to it
they all think they are truck drivers
we will get KAK and woreout to decide that

 

Parked at a mall in Colorado Springs... 6am is my first unload time, then 10 am in Denver.... then pick up a preloaded trailer in Ft Collins destined for Minot ND....
I suppositivly can park in the street outside the first drop after 7pm or so... sure isnt many places to park in Colorado Springs.... Walmarts lot was jammed full...saw the mall, called the security office and they said no problem!

 

Oh boy .... that may not be good . Lol






Parked at loves in Utica unfortunately. I have to unload over towards chicago area and really didnt wanna try to park any closer to that mess....

I think I am gonna threaten to leave this trailer sit if I dont get some ransom money tomorrow a.m.
