I never seen this before.... Earlier this evening, after I parked at this rest area, a police car stopped behind my truck, then moved to the side of my driver's door... I saw him... I think he was entering my co. DOT number in his computer... :biggrin_2554: Well.... Ok, I thought...
And now... I hear a knocking on my door... first I ignored... but they knocked again... and this time MUCH stronger... I got mad and open my curtain and was about to yell... when I saw a highway patrol officer... WTF???:biggrin_25510:

He said he was checking on everybody... asked me if I was staying here all night... "uhhh.. yeah..." I said... And he said, you have been here since 7 pm... Well... so what??
What is the problem? Is it illegal to park at a rest area at night? And has he been tracking my hrs?
And what about waking me up??? To check on me?? WTF!!! He apologized for waking me up.... Yeah right... This p me off... :angryfire:

I hope he doesn't come knock on my door in the morning... I am not illegally parked.... there's no sign of no parking here... So... what is the deal? DARN!
I told him that he scared me... that I thought it might be a vagrant or a prostitute...
He knows that he should not disturb a driver in the middle of his/her sleeper berth time... :biggrin_25510:

Virginia State police used to wake drivers up and force them to leave against their break time.

They didn't give the drivers much of a choice.

Where were you parked that they woke you up? I know they do that in Ohio quite a bit.

I am perfectly legally parked, not on the shoulder, but inside the rest area, not on the curb, not obstructing any pathway or anything... on I-271 OH between xt 9 and 3... Medina I think...
