At the J in Peculiar, MO. found a nice paying load that picks up on the Kansas side running to Galesburg, MI. D&h on both ends with open windows on both ends. That makes things nice. I will deliver Saturday, take a 34 even though I don't really need one because I found a nice paying load to Jersey that picks up Monday and pays me more than if I ran through the weekend

    tsavory and Rocks Thank this.

If it's got twin sticks only a handful of us left out here could even shift the thing so chances are it ain't going anywhere...

Now if it was an auto shift Volvo then I'd worry.

    KAK and tsavory Thank this.

This one is a 20913B with a air shifted 1750 spicer behind it. My Uncle Bills truck the red and silver ext hood 359 is a spicer 6x4 set up with a 3406B. But it's promised to KAK if I ever decide to let it go.

Gonna pull the pin at the 55 on I40 after while a little Exxon on the west side of the big road

Tall Mike and TruckDuo Thank this.

Funny this topic comes up. Today my regular repair shop had a customer appreciation day. A guy about my Dad's age (70) sitting next to me while eating, turns out to be the owner of a nice looking Pete parked next to my truck. '78 359 in as good a condition as my 2007 truck, with better paint, and just the right amount of chrome (not over the top, looked like he wasn't afraid to get it dirty).

3408 with a 6x4. Sounded sweet when he cranked it up. I almost asked him to adopt me.

Yesterday I parked at this nice rest area on US-6, UT....

but no internet connection... went to bed earlier... :yes2557::biggrin_25518:

Delivered in Salt Lake City this morning... then rushed to next shipper in Logan... it was going to be a 2,300 mile load to NJ... :biggrin_25519: but when I was on I-15, broker called and apologized cause shipper had just told her that product wouldn't be ready till Monday... :biggrin_2552: She was quite upset and apologized 100 times... :biggrin_2557:
Anyway, I parked at FJ and DSP gave me a local load... which pays a good flat rate... Went back to SLC for pick up... And then... back up north....
    Was unloaded right here...

Now I'm back at FJ... will pick up tomorrow about 7 miles from here and going to TN... :biggrin_25519:

It's beautiful country through soldier summit.

I spent the night in Green River. What time did you get to the rest area? I may have seen your truck, lol.

    Rocks Thanks this.
