Stopped for the night in Coachella, CA at the loves. Had to roll out at 5am this morning because the first drop is at 4 am in Walnut, CA and the second is at 9 am in San Bernardino. Hoping the first drop takes their time so I don't have to park for more than 2 hours in one of the pay for play lots.

Had 2 tight locations today and a heck of a hard dock to back to tonight... OMG... took about 40 mins to put trailer in the dock and got out of truck about 20 or so times to look... :biggrin_2552: both customers belong to the same company... And I hope I NEVER go back...

First one, office lady gave me directions, but after looking at it on Google satellite and street view I saw docks were on another street and she gave me directions for personal vehicles only... it even had low clearance bar at the entrance gate :biggrin_25510: She gave me these directions despite of knowing I was coming with an 18 wheeler... :biggrin_25510: then, when I got at warehouse and knocked on their door, gentleman told me to go to next door... but next door was inside fenced area and gate was locked... WTF!!! :biggrin_25510:

Second location was MUCH WORSE.... Parked next to dock trying to figure how to back in the "delivering hole" :biggrin_2552: as they called their receiving dock... And that's where I was...

Practically no room for a semi... :biggrin_25512: all their trucks are day cabs... Had to go to the middle of 4 way intersection just to park next to dock...
    Will be unloaded tomorrow morning...

So... after going around the little store in front of the docking area twice, I spent about 40 mins... it felt like one hr... in the dark, with a flash light backing trailer to the freaking "delivery hole"... The ground drops... it's dark and it does look like a hole... Will take a better picture in the morning... too dark now...

This is what I had on one side...

    And on the other side...

It doesn't look too bad without seeing the front... very tight dock and very little space in front... had to enter that docking area practically straight to avoid hitting the yellow metal columns and rubbing the rear bumper on the metallic curb on passenger side...

Will still have to open the doors tomorrow... So, it's not over... :biggrin_25513: will pull all the way up, and find a way to secure the door very tight on the passenger side not to rub on the freaking metal columns... What a freaking place...:biggrin_25510::biggrin_2552: Will be glad when I get out of here tomorrow.... with no scratches...

I have been DEFINITELY learning A LOT in this co. Used to have it SOOOO EASY in the Walmart account with my former co...

Just wait till you decide to flatbed it and get a 102" trailer in a 104" hole the worst part about both that one and them 104 holes I get to hit every now and again is that they are always dark holes and a pain to even see the edges!

Oohh... :biggrin_2554: and I thought flatbed folks didn't have to back to docks... just park in the middle of the yard...
Just kidding... I did see a flatbed truck once backing at a covered dock...
But no.... no flatbed for me... I am not strong enough to lift that tarp... Heck, that may be as heavy as I am... :biggrin_2559:
