Parked Here for the Night

I like adventure. So I'm parked at the J in Texarkana. Need fuel and a shower and only had an hour left of drive time so I parked it here. I think I'm safe..my nose is tucked in pretty deep and all the spots around me are taken. I still think I should have paid the $5 and parked in the dirt lot across the street

 

Also got off the phone with the receiver and they told me they will take me tomorrow if I can make it by 1000. I'm figuring if all goes smooth I should be there at 0945. Gonna be tight. 340 miles and Houston...fingers crossed.

 

So this one time at band camp

no I was on my way to a shipper. When I hear a BOOOM!! From ahead of me.

There is this garbage truck smoking and burning. Turns out pass. Side brake drum caught fire and blew the tire.

I played "mall cop" with my orange vest. Dodging the rubber neckers. As they used 3 fire extinguishers and finally grabbed a garden hose.

The fire department just showed and said. "You did our job.". We said. "Well since you were a block away and took your time. We played fireman for the day. "

 

Yep. They are advertising on the CB. I may go get me some.

I think you have a big radio, highend sound system, top of the line GPS, laptop and a 32in TV in there. Might convince them you had all that as well as you priceless irreplaceable sentimental sleeping bag and coat

Contemplating a run down to the old Santa Maria to see what kind of trouble I can stir up....
