Hey... I left OKC at 13:37 central time. After hooking to 2 trailers to figure out what was causing light on "head" of trucker to flicker and having the light replaced... My dsp got a load and lost it while I was dealing with trailers and lights... then, she had to leave early because her child got sick at school... And the other dispatcher got me CH Robinson load that needed to be pick up in 1:30 hrs and I was over 2 hrs away... :biggrin_25523: So... I RUSHED out of the terminal, no time to plan anything... Well... at least I knew the shipper... Loading happened pretty quick cause folks were in a hurry to go home... And I had to RUSH out of there... scaled the load at nearest FJ and now parked at Choctaw Plaza... This place is HUGE... I guess one can always find a place to park here no matter what time... Going to TX... south, very south of TX... I like it... :yes2557:

Petro in Glade Spring Va. Figured this would be a good option since it's a large lot and I would be rolling in at 0200. This place usually fills but I figured I could get lucky an catch somebody leaving and if not I still have enought time to get to Wytheville and all the truckstops in the area that may have better options at 0300. Sure enough I found a spot in the back here, so now I can have breakfast/dinner and call it a night.

I rolled through here the day after the tornado destroyed this place back in 2011. Got pictures somewhere on my Facebook. What a mess that was. They fixed it up pretty nice.

  4. Well. I don't get the luck , I'm still in the Communist country of California. Loving all the digital signs " severe storm wed - Fri plan your trip"

Ya think they never saw a storm or snow for that matter.

The Big. O was checking for jewelry and rolling us south out of Ashlan.

Trying to plan my trip to the snotty town of San Dingo. Since its hard to park at a shipper when they have a commercial truck curfew "no truck parking 6pm to 6am)
Well. I'm gonna try and get some rest before I do this again.

I'm stopped at the Arrowhead Travel Plaza in Pendleton, OR. Sustained winds at the bottom of the cabbage are near 40 mph. Gusts approaching 50 mph. Winds upwards of 70 mph on top. I'm not ####### with that!

peterbilt_2005 and Al. Roper Thank this.

As usual, take a 10, get up about 2 AM and all's well. Then blow and go to keep ahead of the next front.

This load doesn't need to be in El Paso until Monday so I have plenty of time.
