I77 x42 wilco Hess Trountman NC. This place is a zoo. Wanted to make it to x100 and park at Brintle's but CHarlotte was a parking lot due to an accident combined with rush hour and my 14 ran low. But wilco means Dunkin Donuts so it's a win

wow hard to believe you could even get in there this time of night lol

last time I went in there after 1800 there was only one spot left and I barely got in it with a 48.

You should buy a lottery ticket.

Yeah I don't run 77 all that much down here. And I had a bad feeling when I heard some of the locals saying parking is scarce there....actually was no parking when I got here but one lap around and somebody pulled out. When I hit Charlotte I over 2 hours on my clock when I got here I had 6 minutes.

that place is stupid even in the middle of the day. kinda the last chance place before you get to charlotte coming south until rock hill unless you try to get into the worse and smaller dump at the 16.

you got really lucky getting a spot it usually stays full

I've heard talk on the CB (so it must be true) that you can circumvent that Lake Norman mess by taking US-321 up to 40 then back to 77. Haven't tried it myself, and 321 usually looks pretty messed up when I ride past anyway. Maybe it's just a retail cluster right there at the I-85 interchange?

321 isn't a bad ride once you get past the initial red light hell right at 85. just takes you a little west and then backtrack on 40 to 77. it's a good alternate if you show up at the wrong time of day and don't mind running the 20+/- extra miles. if it's really bad it can be quicker. some of our guys run outbound from our dc 40 out to 321 then back over to 485 then 77 if they get out at the wrong time of the morning going south. even though it's longer it's much quicker tha sitting in that 30 mile hell that is lake norman to charlotte in the morning.

I will keep it on mind for next time. Thanks!! I knew I was hiting the area at the wrong time. Really nothing I could do about it and unfortunately an accident really fouled things up
