literally just got the message on my QC. We are allowed to go back to old rules although the QC has not been updated.... So in the meantime the elog will show a violation should you take advantage of it but run yourself oh of hours so it was suggested we keep a paper log until the update is complete to keep track of hours but the elog is still the "official" log. This should be fun.

 

whats the deal with Jan 5th? Is that when it will officially be announced or is that when the system will update?

 

At the TA in Madison Wisconsin. 9 miles from my 8am appointment. Just watched a guy blindside into a spot up close to the fuel island when he coulda straight backed into the spot next to me... just alittle further from the building....Another guy just took it. Always look for the easy spot!! If was within eyesight too...

 

I know... and that's funny...
As a matter of fact, that was a food warehouse.... some reefers there...
I did paperwork, business calls, checked stuff on the map, had a snack... but couldn't sleep... I was rested... although I drove from 2 am till 8:30 am...
As they were taking sooo long, I entered the warehouse 3 times, talked to lumpers, talked to receiving.... Called broker... I was counting the hrs I had left to get to truck stop and park... and I was more anxious than tired...

 

Definitely could cause some confusion at scale house if they decide to check your HOS....

 

Well how about this Monday then? Or is that asking too much?

 

It probably will have no effect on me anyway. I won't need a reset before I take off for Christmas and it should all be updated at some point before I need the next restart.

 

For me, it's when Peoplenet is supposed to update the system...

 

For Peoplenet, YES! Absolutely asking too much...
Boss in my co. wrote on the msg, "their date of completion is tentatively set for Jan 5th..."
