Didn't get loaded at first pick till 1230 am. Made it to second stop 40 minutes later didn't get out till 4 of 5. Rolled to the loves in uticA which had tons of parking. Looked like a ghost town. Got 2 chorizo burritos and a hash brown. Hit the road thought I was going to do some trailer trucking, and couldn't make it out of the darn tootin cotton pickin state. Took a 2 hr nap and was ready to ride. Made it to council bluffs pilot and here I type. Debating on whether to leave tonight or in the morning. Loads not due till 5am Friday. Only time will tell. So we back quit 1 mo gin.

Dinomite, Skate-Board and Rocks Thank this. -
parked on the couch.....or rather I should say squeezed into the couch with 4 big snoring dogs who think they have such a hard life. if only my life was so hard lol
there are some great folks on this thread, more so than in many of the others on this site. it has been my pleasure to get to know most of you this year and actually even met some of you when we've ended up in the same place.
the wife, the dogs and I wish you all a very happy holiday in whatever manner or form you choose to celebrate it......whether you're one of the lucky ones like me that made it home or are stuck out there somewhere. if you're stuck out there hopefully at least you're rolling or found some place you can tolerate being shut down at.
we're thinking about you all.FatDaddy, Rocks, Voyager1968 and 3 others Thank this. -
glad to see you back btw dinomite.....the site just isn't the same without you lol

Wow if I wasn't a card carrying member, inductee, and president of the super truckers hall of fame. I would not be afraid to say I almost shed a tear or two. Awesome post my friend. May your new year and Christmas be blessed.
Now where the Sam Hill is my tissue box. Dang allergies.TruckDuo and flyingmusician Thank this. -
better be careful.....somebody might see through that supertrucker exterior and think you might actually have a heart lol
don't worry....we won't tell all the noobs hehehe your secret is safe with us
thanks man. -
Decided sorta last minute to make some bank this week instead of sitting home. My smarter half & dog foolish enough to come along. So we're waiting for some frozen bird and earning a little detention bonus before getting to maybe the Petro in Florence, SC. tonight. I need to round the corners off a trip to Aberdeen, MD before a longer day tomorrow.
I'm really not jealous of those getting hometime, since I been sitting home for the last 4 days LOL. I have a whirlwind, fun-filled weekend pre-booked to return to ATL Monday. I'm of a mind to do it again and do my little part to relieve the holiday truck capacity pinch. To the highest bidder of course.

FlyingMusican, that was beautiful ! It's a sentiment we all should carry throughout the new year.
flyingmusician, Dinomite and Rocks Thank this. -
yeah if I'm not careful one might get the impression that I'm a nice guy lol gotta be more careful about that. would hate to contradict the general consensus that I'm a cold, hard, heartless ####### lol
in all seriousness I'm one of those old school types that still hangs on to that notion that we should have each other's back out hereVoyager1968, Dinomite, TruckDuo and 1 other person Thank this. -
Merry Christmas all. If you're at the house like me then enjoy this time off. If you're rolling then thanks for covering for me and keeping the freight moving so I can take some time with the family. I'll return the favor when you need some time off.
