Sounds like a prisoner preparing for a morning execution......
I understand. Some folks have a problem with their blood pressure spiking around nurses and doctors.
I also get jumpy around authority figures with guns. I am not paranoid, it is in their job description to get me.

I'm at the J in Walton KY. Was gonna just go ahead and drop in Columbus tonight instead of waiting till morning but company asked if we wouldn't mind shutting down by 2100 local if we were attached to one of their trailers. Playing it safe I suppose but I have no problem with it. Lot here is only 1/4 full tonight. Will drive the 140 miles tomorrow then shutdown at company yard and meet a buddy for New Years dinner and watch some football. Then get back at it Friday.

At the EB scale in West Odessa, TX. Took me over 6 hours to get here thanks to extremely icy conditions between Van Horn and Pecos. Saw 7 jacknifed rigs.

Parked in Dalton and irritated at my loaner rig...
Batteries appear to be fine, not *that* cold (right at 32), all my equipment works (rig hasn't shut down the batteries for emergency starting), glow plugs come on and then... Nada from the engine. I liked the prostar's space, but I think I'll go back to my cramped Columbia...
Well, time to hurry up and wait. #### the shipper for taking 5 hours to load me. (It moved just fine yesterday when I limped to their long term lot.)TruckDuo Thanks this. -

I spent the day yesterday at the DMV getting my tags. So. I'm thinking, no time at all, go in pay Walk out.
What happen:
Arrive thinking lunch is over at 1pm.(its not. It starts at 1pm and goes till 2pm.)
Now the line is 15_people ahead of me.
Then I'm hoping 3 DMV commercial clerks.
We get 2 and they don't start till 2:15pm
One is experienced the other is in training.
So. Trainee starts your paperwork hands off to experienced clerk. To take your money and give you sticker s.
So do the math. 12-15 min. A person.
So math is. All people in front of me done in an hour. They close at 5. By the time I hit the front of the line @ 3:15 I had 30 people behind me.
I couldn't run fast enough out the door, it was a zoo in las Vegas. I grabbed a bite and hauled #-$-$+%. Out of town.
Traffic was bumper to bumper into Vegas. I ran to meet friends in the central valley.
So now waiting on a couple more to join us for the ball drop.
Happy NewYear. Everyone. Be safe!!Rocks, Montgomery, Al. Roper and 1 other person Thank this.
