Heading for Cincy. Trying to decide on route to miss the most ice......

 

...oh hell no. I'm in Ga and I have a good many blankets so I'm in no danger, but who's dumb as #### idea was is it to link the battery cutoff with the bunk heater?!?!

Thank God I'm not someplace north of here...then I'd be real pissed.

 

Made it to the house just in time for new year. Got a clean inspection on the way home, except for the warning for speeding

Well... it may be "new year" here.... but it is the same old same old... another night at a congested TA on I40 AR...

 

So... no inspection for me this morning... left weigh station this morning... smiled and waved to the officer as he gave me green light and waved at me...

Then ran, ran and ran in this 65 mph governed truck... As dark came, more and more traffic and folks in a hurry... So, I parked here... at a TA...
Now trying to decide pretty hardly whether I will reset till Friday morning or not... Gotta deliver this load about 4 hrs from here and then, be at next shipper at 14:00 appt. about one hr away from were I'll get empty... And I still gotta fuel on my way...
So... I am inclined to not reset... and sacrifice my hrs to avoid being late for next pick up...
I don't like when I can't reset cause being OTR everything is very unpredictable and it helps A LOT to have all hrs available every day...
Next load I pick up on Friday will be going to NY and then CT for delivery on Monday... I better check next week forecast...

 

Great minds think alike Rocks. Happy new year team duo and the rest of the parked for the night fam. Even though I still don't get the whole new years thing. If some smart person can explain it to me. I' d be willing to try to download the info into my noggin.

Made it to the atlanta OC and dropped off that wretched prostar for my now very appreciated Columbia. I'm gonna miss all that space, but at least even when she's too tired to keep the batteries up all night long she'll keep me warm.

Just goes goes to show, and prove, the old adage of newer isn't always better. Now to fall asleep until my dispatcher reassigns me this Columbia so I can leave.

happy New Years, I can only speculate why we make such a big deal over it but I'm a bit of a killjoy when it comes to holidays of any sort. Except national sarcasm day. Now there's a holiday I can get behind!
