Don't get me wrong folks--there are lots of quick fixes to get in/out and sometimes you gotta be resourceful---and like I said earlier--I do commend many of yall for trying---but using Rock's pic as an example--and anyone who has been in that area of Pa KNOWS just what Im talkin bout--a very steep uphill curving driveway---that is a solid sheet of ice.....IMHO---just one of those situations where YOU gotta draw the line--like I said in another post about Winter wrex---Nobody is EVER going to Thank YOU for tearing up--THEIR equipment....and in this instance the possibilities of serious problems are enormous...just like me trying to get back home from the yard late that same nite....kinda why I keep an old beat up 4wd around---and just cuz I power slid the old suburban sideways most of the way up the hill on the other side of the hill and pretty much full wheel locked it up slidin down the other side to get back to my HOUSE....doesn't mean Im gonna do it w/my boss's Pete just to get onto you're property:biggrin_25523:

Got my load off at 7 am this morning and sitting at the Loves in El Paso....only 9 hours left on the 70 and only getting 34 minutes back tonight (thanks Roundys and your appt times) yet they want to deadhead me 10 hours away...had to explain to my dispatcher that aint going to work...looking at it as much sitting as I am going to have to do just to get any decent time back I might as well sit for a reset as much as I don't like it.

Wanted to update everyone on what's been going on with us. R&L brought us a 2013 ProStar and my wife is able to drive it. :yes2557:

We started Monday at midnight. Pick up a trailer from the Chicago terminal then meet a day cab at the Pilot in Murfreesboro, TN I-24 Exit 81. Off Sunday and Monday. They expect you to learn as you go so it's been hectic but it's been fun picking a new skill (doubles).

So how is it pulling doubles. Do the wiggling scare you? Do they not wiggle much, Are the loads heavy? Does R&b do tripples? Do you drive like suicidal fed ex ground guys now? What about hooking them up? Enquireing minds want to know.:biggrin_25514:

Doubles is so far okay. Pulled it once last night. Our truck can do 75 mph but we keep it at 65 with doubles. We pull a 53 to TN then doubles back to Chicago. Loads haven't been heavy due to freight being slow. Haven't had any wiggling yet.:biggrin_25523: They do triples but require 2 or 3 years of doubles experience before they let you pull them. Doubles are hooked up for us and when we get back to the terminal we have to break it down and put the lead trailer in a dock.

I was wondering about tangerine myself.

Picking up some deceased chickens in Dequeen,AR tomorrow. Then back to Denver. Getting theses cows off earlier then I expected. Was thinking about doing a 34 but being close to the old house, and not being able to go. Makes my stomach turn. Why can't all my X's live in Texas. Will figure something out. We goneeee!!

Today started to feel like myself a little bit again. Only ran 415 miles today and sitting at the TA in Prescott AR but could have ran more if I needed to push. Since I need a hot shower and no need to push my limits on this load I will just call it a night and have a relaxing drive to Sealy in the morning.

    Rocks Thanks this.
